From Sept. 1988 to 1995 TRC grew to 6000 sq. ft. and 9 people. The product line expanded from approximately 150 products to about 1000.
In Mar. of 1995 a 42000 sq. ft. building was purchased at the corner of Brisbane Rd. and Martin Ross. High quality, state of the art, laboratories and production facilities were built, and TRC moved into a 12,000 sq. ft. portion of the building in the spring of 1996. As of 2005 Toronto Research Chemicals Inc. occupied the entire building.

In 2010 a second floor was built to accommodate additional laboratories bringing the total to 12, 1500 sq. ft. laboratories and a plant area of about 65000 sq. ft. The company employs about 100 synthetic chemists, approximately ½ of them with Ph.D.s.

We now have four analytical laboratories with 10 full time analytical chemists, and advanced analytical instrumentation including 2 high field NMR spectrometers, LC-MS and preparative HPLC. We are also building a small pilot plant to accommodate the growing number of projects in the 10 to 50 Kg range.We have recently purchased the building next door to ours that will be used for our expansion.

We sell our products to researchers in more than 60 countries around the world. In 1985 when we printed our first catalogue, it had 147 products, which were mostly carbohydrates, some steroids, a few amino acid derivatives, and a few mutagenic compounds found in cooked foods. In 1991 the catalogue listed 600 compounds. The 1999-2000 catalogue had about 900 compounds and was 170 pages. This is the last catalogue we printed. Our product line has expanded to more than 23,000 biopharmaceutical products. We are a world leader in many of our product lines.
